Foster Gondwe is a Staff Associate in Instruction Media and Technology in the School of Education’s Education Foundations Department at Chancellor College, University of Malawi.
Currently, he teaches an Undergraduate course ‘Instruction Media and Technology’ offered in the Department. He is also a University of Malawi research student (pursuing a Master of Education Degree (by research) in the Unlocking Talent with Technology project being implemented by University of Malawi and University of Nottingham (UK) with funding from Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO). He is also a Research student in the Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation (IDEC), Hiroshima University, Japan pursuing Educational Development Course with bias towards Teacher Education.
Prior to joining Chancellor College, he worked as Operations Manager (2013-2015) for a multinational Marketing Firm called Exp Momentum (see http://www.expagency.biz/), where he was responsible for market research, designing marketing campaigns, recruitment and training of marketing personnel. He later worked as Education Coordinator for buildOn Inc., an international non-profit organization that runs youth service afterschool programs in United States high schools, and builds schools in developing countries (see https://www.buildon.org/). Foster also taught briefly at secondary school.
Other than performing day to day office duties, Foster also enjoys supporting the Departments’ tasks such as events management, project management, marketing of services and branding. He is also into community service, particularly focusing on youth work. For example, he served as Member of Youth Parliament of Malawi (Kasungu North West constituency-2012-2014) and Deputy Speaker for Students Union of Chancellor College (see http://www.cc.ac.mw/union/succ). He is currently an Education Programmes technical advisor for Teams Advancing Women in Agriculture (see http://tawina.org/) and Good Health Youth Organization (Kasungu, Malawi).
